Sometimes even a straightforward case can take an unexpected turn. Josh Barrett, Associate Director showed he could be relied on to give extra care and understanding when the borrower needed it. Facing some personal problems, the borrower saw Josh going the extra mile to make sure his current loan didn’t roll onto a more expensive SVR.
Because of the borrower’s personal circumstances, both the completion and offer letter extension dates were missed, Josh worked with the product team to find a solution. Unfortunately, the valuation had also expired so Josh then worked with the underwriter who was able to sign off the loan and proceed with a desktop valuation. This allowed us to reduce not only the cost of the valuation, but also the time taken to receive the updated report.
