AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and helps you compare between accounts. It’s the rate of interest if it was paid and added each year. 

Gross interest means we do not take off income tax.

Tax-free means you do not pay income tax on this interest.

Variable interest means the rate can go up or down.

Fixed interest means the rate will stay the same until a set date.
